Sustainable Supply Chain

供應鏈與客戶.png

Microcosm Technology and suppliers share a common goal of establishing legal trading relationships, adhering to fair and open procurement processes, improving procurement efficiency and functionality, and ensuring procurement quality.

Based on Microcosm Technology's commitment to product quality, the "Supplier Selection and Management Process" (P2-002) adopts strict management standards and evaluation procedures for supplier selection, requiring suppliers to possess international certifications, such as: ISO9001, IS014001, OHSAS18001 certifications or compliance with RoHS and REACH, and investigates whether suppliers comply with local labor laws, government regulations, and customer requirements. Microcosm Technology urges suppliers to pay attention to workers' rights, workplace safety and hygiene, and improve unfavorable labor conditions. Microcosm Technology adheres to high ethical standards in business operations and employee conduct, aiming to create a zero-accident work environment and implementing green environmental policies to continuously improve and reduce operational risks, ensuring that suppliers meet the company's requirements for environmental sustainability.

Supplier Selection:

1. Supplier Management System Certification: In response to environmental protection and safety and health, suppliers that provide international certifications such as ISO9001, ISO14001, IECQ QC080000, etc., are eligible to be listed as qualified suppliers.

2. Supplier Management: Conduct quarterly supplier evaluations (P3-003-004) based on quality (Q), cost (C), delivery (D), and service (S).

3. Supplier Evaluation: Annually assess suppliers based on the Supplier Audit Checklist (P3-003-002), evaluating environmental and quality systems, management system maintenance and control, design/development control, supplier control, process control, inspection and testing, handling, packaging, storage, protection and delivery, and non-conforming product control.

Hazardous Substance Free (HSF) management :

In response to customer and international legal requirements, Microcosm Technology has established the Environmental Management Material Procedure (Q2-014) and requires suppliers to strictly comply, and regularly request third-party certification test reports to ensure that products do not contain hazardous substances.

Declaration of Conflict-Free Mineral Property

Microcosm Technology believes that companies have a social responsibility and has established management measures to avoid sourcing minerals from conflict-affected areas.

Conflict minerals refer to minerals mined in armed conflict and human rights violation situations, especially those from the Democratic Republic of Congo and its neighboring countries, obtained through illegal mining, such as gold (Au), tantalum (Ta), tungsten (W), tin (Sn), cobalt (Co), and mica (Mica). The U.S. conflict minerals law prohibits the use of minerals from countries including the Democratic Republic of Congo, Angola, Burundi, Central African Republic, Republic of Congo, Uganda, Sudan, Tanzania, Rwanda, and Zambia.

Microcosm Technology requires suppliers to conduct reasonable due diligence to ensure that materials provided to Microcosm Technology comply with conflict-free mineral requirements. Microcosm Technology's suppliers must sign a conflict-free mineral commitment (P2-002-005). If conflict minerals are used in products supplied to Microcosm Technology after signing the commitment, suppliers should inform the company immediately.
